Solution Manager, Digita Towers Ltd
Digita is Finland’s leading provider of digital infrastructure and services. The company’s networks ensure the availability of TV and radio broadcasts as well as wireless communications to all Finns around the clock — 1,000 sites, 38 main stations and 24/7 on-call service. Digita is a national operator ensuring security of supply and the best place to work in the sector.
The company’s Telecom business is currently experiencing strong growth. IoT, 5G private networks, mast and base station services — the target is annual growth of over 10 per cent. This growth is made possible by identifying, negotiating and securing licences for new base station sites across Finland. We are now looking for a Solution Manager to take on this role.
Could this be the right role for you? We’re looking for a self-motivated professional who is just as at home in the field as they are at the negotiating table — and who has the ability to see multi-stage projects through to completion with determination.
Role and responsibilities
The Solution Manager is independently responsible for the procurement of new mast and base station sites throughout Finland—from identifying potential sites right through to obtaining the necessary permits. You will report to the Director of Land Use and Site Development and form part of the Sales Support team within the Towers unit of the Telecom business.
- You will identify and survey potential sites for masts and base stations nationwide — ”from Hanko to Utsjoki”. Site inspections and measurements form part of the role.
- You will negotiate land acquisitions with private landowners, organisations, local authorities and other stakeholders — whether for leasing or purchase.
- You will take projects through to the planning permission stage: consultations with the authorities, planning statements, and management of the planning permission processes.
- You will be involved in advocacy work with local authorities and cities regarding mobile networks.
- You will manage, renew and develop the existing portfolio of mast and base station site agreements.
- You will hand over the sites for which planning permission has already been granted to the infrastructure unit for construction or for commercial development.
About you
This role places particular emphasis on negotiation skills, self-direction and a long-term approach to driving projects forward — even when decision-making takes time or uncertainty is part of day-to-day life.
- Experience of complex negotiations: land acquisition, planning permission processes, contract management or similar (e.g. Site Acquisition, Property Manager, Site Engineer, Land Use Manager or a similar role).
- You have a good understanding of land and property management as well as processes relating to land use — you are familiar with contract law.
- A degree at least at Bachelor of Applied Sciences (AMK) level, for example in surveying, a relevant technical field or the telecoms sector.
- You are fluent in Finnish, both spoken and written — you deal with public authorities, local councils and landowners. You have a basic command of English.
- Willingness to travel for work throughout Finland. Your place of residence is irrelevant.
- A technical mindset is sufficient — you don’t need in-depth expertise in mobile network technologies; the team will provide support. Experience in telecoms or mast infrastructure would be an advantage.
- Knowledge of Swedish is an advantage.
Why Digita?
We do meaningful work. The mast or base station site that you negotiate and obtain a licence for will physically form part of the functioning infrastructure of Finnish society.

- A growth company on a solid footing: an annual growth target of over 10 % for the telecoms business, backed by new owner GI Partners.
- A close-knit, skilled team — there is a high level of expertise, and colleagues are there to support you even in challenging situations.
- Flexible hybrid working: 60 % remote working option; place of residence is irrelevant.
- Comprehensive benefits: comprehensive healthcare (including dental care) and occupational disability insurance, sports and cultural benefits, massage benefits, HSL travel benefits, lunch allowance and a company bicycle.
