Teppo Rantanen

I have worked as a consultant and auditor for over 30 years and, for the last 10 years, as a manager in the public sector. My background includes a role as Partner Global TMT at Deloitte UK, a position as Managing Partner at Deloitte Finland, and a role as a partner at Arthur Andersen.

I have experience in strategic economic policy, competitiveness, innovation, smart cities, major urban development programmes, international relations and lobbying. At Tampere City Council, I have been responsible for these areas in my role as Executive Director.

I have extensive knowledge of the technology and telecommunications sectors, digitalisation, the Internet of Things, industrial operations, the construction sector and the financial sector. My expertise covers strategy, corporate restructuring, management issues and international business.

My recent exploration of the metaverse and citiverse brings the points of convergence between the digital and physical worlds into my area of expertise, as do issues relating to the experience economy. I am also familiar with matters relating to semiconductors and dual-use technologies.
