Headhunting in Tampere

We find key personnel who cannot be found in the Pirkanmaa region through job advertisements

We provide headhunting services in Tampere and elsewhere in the Pirkanmaa region. Industrial and technology companies in the region are competing for the same candidates, and the best of them are already in employment and do not read job advertisements.

Our office is in Helsinki, but we carry out assignments throughout Finland. We meet candidates in Tampere in person whenever necessary.

Headhunting is about listening, not hunting. The best connections are forged when you understand both the company and the individual.

When is headhunting worthwhile?

When a role has been vacant for a long time, when you’re receiving applications but none of the right candidates are coming forward, or when you know exactly what skills you need but don’t know who can provide them.

Headhunting differs from advertising a vacancy in that the process does not start with the applicants but with the talent pool. First, we identify who would be suitable for the role, and only then do we make contact.

How we carry out headhunting

We don’t approach anyone with a ready-made sales pitch

The technology and industrial sector in Pirkanmaa is small. News of a single mishandled approach spreads quickly throughout the region, so every discussion takes place on the candidate’s terms.

We see potential before it is visible

True expertise does not always shout about itself. We recognise it from subtle signs, experience, attitude and the ability to think one step ahead.

Two consultants who know the field

At least two consultants are involved in every project. We select members for the client team who have experience either in the client’s sector or in the role in question.

The candidate experience is part of quality

For a candidate, being involved in the process is always important. It has a direct impact on the impression you leave as an employer.

What is the skills market like in Pirkanmaa?

In Pirkanmaa, a large number of engineering and technology specialists are trained, and many of them stay in the region. This means that there are candidates available, but the best of them are in established roles and do not respond to job advertisements.

People in the industry also know one another. The same name comes up in several conversations, and information spreads quickly. That is why we approach candidates individually and confidentially, rather than via mass messages.

We do not disclose the client’s name until the candidate has shown a genuine interest in continuing the discussion.

This is how headhunting works

It is not the stages of the process that are crucial, as they are fairly similar across different organisations. What matters is how those stages are managed.

We will define the role with you, assess the market and approach candidates personally. We will go through the options together and, where necessary, carry out reference checks and suitability assessments.

Who carries out the search?

For the Pirkanmaa assignment, we select consultants with experience in industry, construction or technology. Our team in Finland comprises around twenty experienced managers and specialists, and we always select experts in the relevant field for each assignment.

The contact person at the Helsinki office is Niclas Ahlbom, tel. +358 40 066 2270.

What sort of roles do we recruit for in Pirkanmaa?

  • Business and Unit Management
  • Production and Plant Managers
  • Sales and Export Managers
  • Leaders in product development and technology
  • Key personnel in procurement and the supply chain

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you have an office in Tampere?

Our office is located at Itämerentori 2, Helsinki. We do not restrict our searches to the Helsinki metropolitan area; instead, we undertake assignments throughout Finland. We meet candidates in Tampere, either in person or remotely, whichever suits them best.

How quickly can we get the candidates to appear?

The timetable is finalised right at the start. The search for and assessment of candidates typically takes us a few weeks, after which we present the options. The pace of the rest of the process depends on how quickly the interviews can be fitted into the calendar.

What is the difference between headhunting and executive search?

The process is the same. Headhunting is an umbrella term, and executive search specifically refers to filling senior management roles. Read more Direct recruitment of management staff in Tampere.

Together we will find the right direction.

Can the search be carried out confidentially?

Yes, and that is usually how it’s done. We do not disclose the client’s name to the candidate until both parties have a genuine interest in proceeding, nor do we advertise the vacancy anywhere.

Are you looking for a key person who can’t be found through an advert?

Tell us about your situation, and we’ll work out together which type of search is best suited to it. The initial discussion is under no obligation.
