Headhunting in Turku

We find key personnel who cannot be found in the Turku region through job adverts

We carry out headhunting in Turku and elsewhere in Southwest Finland. Experts in the maritime industry, the pharmaceutical sector and food production are few and far between, and the best of them are already in employment.

Our office is in Helsinki, but we carry out assignments throughout Finland. We meet candidates in Turku in person whenever necessary.

Headhunting is about listening, not hunting. The best connections are forged when you understand both the company and the individual.

When should you ring?

When a vacancy has been open for too long, when applicants are coming forward but none of them are the right fit, or when a competitor has exactly the skills that you lack.

In such cases, the solution is rarely to place a new advert. Instead, it involves making a targeted and confidential approach to those who are not currently applying for anything.

How we carry out headhunting

You can also search in Swedish

There are many bilingual companies operating in Southwest Finland. Our team includes consultants who speak Swedish, so candidates can go through the entire process in their own language.

We see potential before it is visible

True expertise does not always shout about itself. We recognise it from subtle signs, experience, attitude and the ability to think one step ahead.

Two consultants who know the field

At least two consultants are involved in every project. We select members for the client team who have experience either in the client’s sector or in the role in question.

The candidate experience is part of quality

For a candidate, being involved in the process is always important. It has a direct impact on the impression you leave as an employer.

What is the skills market like in Southwest Finland?

There are a limited number of specialists in the maritime, pharmaceutical and food production sectors in Finland. When a role requires experience in a specific field, the pool of potential candidates is small across the whole country.

In that case, it is not enough for the recruitment drive simply to reach jobseekers. It must be targeted at those who are not currently looking for work. We first carry out a comprehensive survey of the field and only then do we approach them.

Some of the candidates in the region prefer to hold discussions in Swedish, and we are able to accommodate that.

What is headhunting in practice?

First, we identify who in the sector might be suitable for the role. Only then do we approach them, one by one and on a personal basis.

We’ll present you with the options and explain the reasons behind them, support you during interviews and, if necessary, carry out reference checks and suitability assessments.

Who carries out the search?

For our recruitment drive in Southwest Finland, we are selecting consultants with experience in manufacturing and regulated business operations. Our team in Finland comprises around twenty experienced managers and specialists. Their backgrounds range from manufacturing and construction to healthcare, logistics and energy.

Our contact person is Niclas Ahlbom, tel. +358 40 066 2270.

What sort of roles do we recruit for in Southwest Finland?

  • Business and Unit Management
  • Production and Quality Managers
  • Project and Programme Managers
  • Sales and Account Managers
  • Key personnel in logistics

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you have an office in Turku?

Our office is located at Itämerentori 2, Helsinki. We do not limit our searches to the Helsinki metropolitan area; instead, we undertake assignments throughout Finland. We meet candidates in Turku, either in person or remotely, whichever suits them best.

How quickly can we get the candidates to appear?

The timetable is finalised right at the start. The search for and assessment of candidates typically takes us a few weeks, after which we present the options. The pace of the rest of the process depends on how quickly the interviews can be fitted into the calendar.

What is the difference between headhunting and executive search?

The process is the same. Headhunting is an umbrella term, and executive search specifically refers to filling senior management roles. Read more Direct recruitment of management staff in Turku.

Together we will find the right direction.

Can the search be carried out confidentially?

Yes, and that is usually how it’s done. We do not disclose the client’s name to the candidate until both parties have a genuine interest in proceeding, nor do we advertise the vacancy anywhere.

Do you know who you need, but not where to find them?

Let’s get in touch and assess the situation. We’ll give you an honest assessment of just how large the pool of candidates for the role actually is.
