Head of Procurement, Nimlas Finland Oy

Nimlas is one of the leading groups in the Nordic region specialising in technical installations and services for the property sector. The Group’s success is based on strong local entrepreneurship. Independent companies operating under their own names serve their customers locally, whilst the Group provides them with support, resources and synergies. In Finland, Nimlas has 48 companies and 1,600 professionals in over 30 locations. The Group’s newly published strategy aims for significant growth and improved profitability. Procurement plays a key role in achieving this objective.

We are looking for a skilled and ambitious candidate for Nimlas Finland Oy Head of Procurement to lead and develop the company’s procurement to the next level in Finland.

Role and key responsibilities

As Procurement Director, you will be responsible for the overall management and development of Nimlas Finland Oy’s procurement function. The role combines strategic development with day-to-day implementation. You will be part of the company’s management team and report to the CEO. You will be responsible for a wide range of procurement activities within the decentralised and agile organisation of one of Finland’s leading players in the sector. Your key areas of responsibility include:

  • Planning, implementation and continuous development of supply chain and procurement strategies in Finland.
  • Managing the procurement organisation and developing expertise, processes and operating models.
  • Supplier and contract management, including negotiations, price reviews and international collaboration at the Nimlas Group level.
  • Developing product and portfolio strategies and utilising market and supplier data to support business operations.
  • Developing procurement tools, systems and reporting to meet business needs.
  • Promoting sustainability in procurement and supply chain operations.

Our expectations for success in this task

The role places particular emphasis on the ability to develop consistent operating models within a decentralised organisation where local companies make procurement decisions independently. Success requires strong influence, engagement and collaboration across organisational boundaries. Furthermore, the role is a key driver of Nimlas Finland Oy’s profitability and growth. Procurement focuses on the company’s largest cost items, and success is directly reflected in the bottom line. We are looking for:

  • Several years’ experience in procurement management roles within the installation sector, wholesale trade or industry.
  • Extensive experience as a negotiator with a strong understanding of the economics of the project business and bonus schemes.
  • The ability to inspire and motivate the team and to foster effective collaboration within a decentralised organisation.
  • Strong commercial acumen and evidence of how procurement contributes to profitability.
  • The ability to communicate clearly and effectively and to listen actively.
  • The ability to build and maintain good relationships with stakeholders.
  • The ability to reach effective solutions through negotiation and persuasion, and to make well-founded decisions even under pressure.
  • The ability to work strategically and take broader perspectives into account.
  • Fluency in written and spoken Finnish and English. Knowledge of Swedish would be an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel if necessary, particularly in the early stages.

We offer

This is a unique opportunity to be part of Nimlas’s growth story, which is only just beginning. You will have a significant impact on the company’s profitability and play a key role in the strategic development of the procurement function. The role offers:

  • A prominent role on the executive management team of one of the leading building services engineering groups in the Nordic region.
  • The opportunity to build and develop strategic procurement within a rapidly growing, acquisition-driven business.
  • A direct influence on the company’s profitability, growth and competitiveness.
  • An entrepreneurial and flat-structured working environment where things are taken forward quickly and in a practical manner.
  • A wide range of responsibilities and the opportunity to make a significant contribution to the future of the company’s procurement function.
  • A Nordic cooperation network, modern tools and the strong backing of a large group.
  • A competitive total remuneration package, comprehensive employee benefits and the opportunity to acquire a stake in the company.
