Operations Manager, Verdis Oy

For Verdis Oy's Mustankorkea processing area in Jyväskylä, we are looking for a strong and sales-minded Operations Manager.

Verdis Oy is a nationally operating environmental maintenance service provider. The company provides partial and complete environmental maintenance services to customers in trade and industry as well as the public sector. Verdis Oy is a major player in the field in Finland with a turnover of over EUR 79 million. Verdis serves its customers with more than 520 employees in more than twenty locations. International expertise and experience is provided by the Nordic parent company Verdis Nordic, which employs around 2000 people.

In this role, you'll get to realise Verdis' growth in the waste management business.

Roles and responsibilities

As Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the operational activities, performance and growth of the Blackcork processing area.

Your main areas of responsibility

• Developing the business of the region and managing day-to-day operations
  • Developing processes, safety and environmental requirements
• Operational ownership of investment and construction projects
• Reporting and liaising with the authorities on activities
• Key account sales and management
• Budgeting and monitoring of KPIs (region/business)

Experience

• At least 7 years' professional experience (e.g. in civil engineering, infrastructure, logistics or environmental maintenance)
• A few years of experience in a supervisory role
